HA NOI, Vietnam (November 1, 2019) — This October, the Blue Swallows Awards awarded Bhaya Cruises the Silver Swallow for the company’s contribution to sustainable solutions in Ha Long Bay. In addition, Bhaya Cruises received 50 million VND in prize money, which they have pledged to use for additional corporate social responsibility projects in Ha Long Bay.
Ms. Jerri Povibool, Vice President of HG Holdings, the parent company of Bhaya Cruises, said, “This award is meaningful to Bhaya Cruises as our work and community focus has been widely recognized. We are motivated to operate our business while developing and maintaining a sustainable Ha Long Bay for the future.”
Launched in 2017, Blue Swallows is the first awards program in Vietnam to recognize businesses’ contributions to positive social change. By supporting innovative and scalable business solutions, the awards aim to support contributions towards sustainable development goals throughout the country.
This year’s awards were jointly hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP).
