QUANG NINH, Vietnam (April 01, 2021) -- The second edition of Ha Long Street Travel Fest, titled ‘Spring Heritage Festival’, is slated to take place from April 2 to April 4 within the Halong Marina Urban Area in Ha Long City.
The festival is one of six events designed to boost tourism, and is managed by Quang Ninh Tourism Department, organised by BIM Group, and supported by Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Health, People’s Committees, Quang Ninh Tourism Association, and the travel industry.
‘Spring Heritage Festival’ is Quang Ninh’s first travel event in 2021. The festival will feature the province’s top tourism products, such as mountain stays, borderland culture, historical trips, spiritual journeys, beach breaks, and community tourism. For three days, spring festivals from across Vietnam will be reenacted via a series of performances, culinary showcases, and activities. The festival will take travellers on a journey through five regions with distinctive food, art, and traditional games.
Some 100 artists will join the celebrations, together with 100 food stalls and shopping hubs offering OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products. Visitors can participate in traditional folk games and daily festival activities such as rice cake pounding, harvest dances, claypot rice cooking contests, San Diu light dances, and more. A spring concert will take place on April 3 wherein Vietnam’s top singers take the stage.
The ‘Spring Heritage Festival’ this year will be held along the 650-metre Hoang Quoc Viet St., leading to the Halong Marine Square. The street also served as the venue for Quang Ninh Masterchef & Bartender 2020 and Ha Long Street Fest’s first instalment, ‘Hello 2021’. As one of Ha Long’s latest ‘Instagrammable’ spots, the festival street hopes to welcome more locals and visitors in 2021.
