I first set foot on the Tủa Chùa plateau in 2022. At that moment, I felt like stepping into another world - a place where time flies pleasantly, where majestic landscapes and a unique cultural identity create an irresistible allure. This time, we returned to Tủa Chùa when nature and people were in perfect harmony. A truly the best decision we could have made.

Towering emerald mountains, deep and mysterious valleys, winding roads like soft silk ribbons… The magical "brushstrokes" of nature have painted a breathtaking masterpiece that captivates everyone under a spell.

Only by visiting Tủa Chùa can one truly appreciate its remarkable landmarks - Tả Phìn Rocky Plateau, Xá Nhè Cave, the mystical Pê Răng Ky, the vibrant Tả Sìn Thàng market fair, and the colourful Tủa Chùa night market. Each place carries its own story, its own distinct beauty. Dotted throughout the magnificent scenery are the villages of the Mông people, where traditional culture is remarkably well-preserved.

Tủa Chùa bears some resemblance to Hà Giang (Tuyen Quang), especially in the Tả Phìn area, where rocky mountains shape winding mountain passes, terraced rice fields curve elegantly, and ancient earthen-walled houses stand alongside traditional stilt houses of the Mông people. Everything evokes a sense of warmth and familiarity. However, Tủa Chùa is smaller and more charming. The gentle Đà River weaves its way around the majestic mountains, bestowing upon Tủa Chùa a beauty that is both powerful and serene - much like the way the river embraces Hòa Bình and Sơn La.

Even though the Mông people live here as well, their culture in Tủa Chùa has its own distinct flavour. The most captivating experience is the weekly outdoor markets, where vibrant traditional costumes, melodious folk tunes, and unique customs are proudly displayed. Together, they form the rich cultural identity of the Mông people in Tủa Chùa.

The Tả Sìn Thàng outdoor market, located in Tả Sìn Thàng Commune, 37 km from Tủa Chùa town, is not just a place for trade but also a living museum of the diverse cultural traditions of the ethnic groups in Tủa Chùa.
