For its “amazing natural beauty combined with world-class levels of hospitality”, Vietnam nabbed Asia's Leading Destination for the sixth time in the last 7 years (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). The 2024 award honour attests to the rising of the all-round optimism and the powerful recovery of the tourism industry.

In other award categories, Vietnam was titled Asia's Leading Heritage Destination and Asia's Leading Nature Destination. These awards acted as the affirmation of Vietnam tourism’s position as an attractive destination, a bright star on the global tourism map.

The recognition was also focused on specific locations. The capital city of Hanoi won “Asia's Leading City Break Destination 2024” and “Asia's Leading City Destination 2024”. In the Central, Hoi An was awarded “Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination 2024”. This is the 5th time Hoi An won this precious title, as a testament to the unique cultural values of the ancient city recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
Down south, the commercial hub of Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City won “Asia's Leading Business Travel Destination 2024” and “Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination 2024”.
